Job Description

Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-driven Assistant Management Accountant to support the delivery of timely and accurate financial reporting. This role plays a key part in month-end processes, forecasting, and budgeting, helping ensure financial data supports decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities of Assistant Management Accountant

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Perform journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with relevant data and insights
• Assist with cost analysis and reporting on key financial performance indicators
• Liaise with internal departments to gather financial inputs
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors
• Continuously improve reporting tools and systems for efficiency and accuracy
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required by the Finance Manager

Skills & Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of management accounting principles
• Strong Excel skills; experience with financial systems
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Effective communicator with the ability to explain financial information clearly
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement
