• Oil & Gas industry knowledge specifically in operations and engineering

• 2+ years using SQL and Python for data processing and analysis
• Experience facilitating workshops , meetings, and cross-functional collaboration with Operators and Engineers

We are currently seeking a Data Analyst III with specialized expertise in Oil & Gas Operations and Engineering to assist our client's Big Data and Advanced Analytics department in downtown Houston.



This is an 'onsite' position (no hybrid)



1 st Interview MS Teams (virtual). 2 nd interview is onsite/in-person


The Data Analyst will work closely with Operators and Engineers to capture data and analytic requirements and implement data management solutions.



Top daily responsibilities:

• Create and maintain data documentation and metadata
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys with business users to identify, collect, and map data elements
• Integrate data between systems

Other responsibilities include:

• Analyzing existing operational and engineering workflows including production and maintenance processes and troubleshooting activities such as root-cause analysis
• Identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks in decision making due to missing and/or inaccurate data
• Defining data requirements and reporting specifications for operational intelligence platforms
• Analyzing integration requirements between operational systems
  Define and implement data quality rules, automated validation procedures, and cross-reference management solutions
• Creating and maintaining data dictionaries and business glossaries for the Operations and Engineering domain
• Defining and implementing data visualizations that delivers seamless access to relevant information

QUALIFICATIONS (Must Have on resume):

• Data management including ' data profiling' to understand data characteristics and relationships
• Experience working in Oil & Gas industry knowledge specifically in operations and engineering
• Including Historian time-series, Engineering Drawings, and Equipment Specification sheets
• 2+ years using SQL and Python for data processing and analysis
• Experience facilitating workshops , meetings, and cross-functional collaboration with Operators and Engineers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in data management practices such as data lifecycle management in complex operational environments
• Experience analyzing operational processes including identifying and creating KPIs and other metrics which measure operational performance.
