Role Overview :
The Grain Regulatory Inspector works as a specialized compliance officer for the Indiana Grain Buyers and Warehouse Licensing Agency, housed as a division of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture. You will perform audits and process licensing of agricultural grain businesses with the primary goal of ensuring compliance with State regulations related to the marketing and storage of producer grain. The Grain Grain Compliance Inspector reports to the Deputy Director of Compliance in the Indiana Grain Buyers and Warehouse Licensing Agency (IGBWLA).
This role serves Tippicanoe and surrounding counties. Inspectors work from home and in field offices within their assigned districts. Residency in the assigned area is preferred. A valid driver's license is required.
Salary :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222 annually but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours that may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
