Job Description

Position Summary
A Japanese food trading corporation is looking for a Japanese Bilingual Logistic Coordinator to join their team. This role involves maintaining accurate records, managing the import process, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The coordinator will resolve shipment issues, prepare cost calculations, and support sales meetings and events. Additional responsibilities include performing other assigned duties and responding to management requests.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records in the AS400/ERP system, including inventory adjustments, price changes, and container lists.
Manage the import process, including preparing shipping documents, customs clearance, and logistics. Communicate with customs brokers and freight forwarders for efficient transfer of goods.
Resolve shipment delays or customs issues by monitoring schedules and documentation. Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other regulations.
Prepare cost calculations for shipments, process receipts and invoices, and issue compensation charges.
Prepare weekly sales meetings, update reports on new products and promotions, and assist with logistics for the annual Food Expo.
Attend company events outside of normal hours and perform other assigned duties. Respond to management requests as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain or related field preferred.
2+ years of relevant logistics experience preferred.
Business level Japanese preferred- Read/write/speak/listen.
Knowledge of AS400 or other ERP systems preferred.
Basic mathematical knowledge – markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, etc.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional organization and time management skills.
BASE SALARY USD42,000-58,000 (DOE)
