• Physicians Surgical Hospitals includes two surgical centers - Panhandle Surgical Hospital and Quail Creek Surgical Hospital, and one physical therapy center - Quail Creek Physical Therapy- and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging center, Advance Imaging Center of Amarillo.

Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT:

• Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Nurse.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.

Job Requirements:

• Must have completed some high school education.

• Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.

• Completion of High School PCT competencies.

• Certification as a PCT (Certified Care Technician) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant).
