Job Description

Your Responsibilities
Proofreads client deliverables for accurate use of grammar, content, and branding.
Checks design elements against branding standards.
Corrects grammatical or typographical errors in original copy following established resources, procedures, and exceptions.
Able to clearly communicate changes and updates.
Provide subject-matter and limited technical coaching and mentoring to coworkers.
Communicate with team to arrange for proofing coverage during preplanned personal absences.
Communicate with Associates to resolve any questions concerning project assignments to ensure product meets or exceeds expectations.
Meet required deadlines and strive to improve customer service on a consistent basis.
Communicate with Associates and coworkers in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive and pleasant work environment.
Exercise independent judgment in interpreting instructions and suggest changes to author as needed to produce a quality document.
Ensure all assigned documents are properly logged prior to delivery to author.
Perform other work-related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Background of proofreading and copy editing in the AP style, but also the flexibility to work from and adhere to multiple clients' individual style guides.
Exemplary aptitude and proven ability for use of English language with regard to sentence structure, punctuation, paragraph formation, grammar, and proofreading skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines and minimize errors.
Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that is very structured.
Ability to understand when to proceed alone and when to involve other Associates.
Ability to understand and execute oral and written instruction.
Ability to work short-notice overtime hours on an as-needed basis

The entry base salary offered for this opportunity may vary, and is contingent upon candidate education, skills, abilities, essential competencies, experience, professional designations, unique qualifications, and geographic location.
Performance Bonus: This role may be eligible for an annual performance bonus, based upon the financial performance of the organization and the individual contributions of the Associate.
