Our Award Winning Client is actively seeking a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist (APRN) to join their Emergency Department team. In this advanced leadership role, the CNS drives clinical excellence across three primary spheres: patient care, nursing practice, and system improvement. The CNS applies advanced practice expertise to lead transformational improvements in emergency care delivery.
This position demands collaboration across nursing, service lines, and patient care units to ensure safe, efficient, and quality-focused clinical environments. This is a vital leadership role that also includes responsibilities as a clinician, educator, researcher, consultant, and systems change agent.
Champion evidence-based nursing practices that align with regulatory requirements and national specialty standards.
Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement best practices and influence care delivery models.
Provide advanced clinical expertise in the Emergency Department, guiding nursing staff and supporting patient outcomes.
Mentor staff and educate adult learners, driving clinical knowledge and critical thinking development.
Integrate technology and innovation into patient care planning and delivery systems.
Conduct and apply healthcare research to improve quality and operational excellence.
Support organizational strategy through policy development, practice guidelines, and systemic quality initiatives.
Master’s Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC
Oregon Registered Nurse License (upon hire)
Oregon Advanced Practice – Clinical Nurse Specialist License (upon hire)
Certification as Clinical Nurse Specialist in area of specialty (upon hire)
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire)
Certification in area of specialty such as CEN or CCRN
3+ years of experience in Emergency Department nursing
2+ years of experience teaching adult learners
2+ years of CNS experience
