- Contract Duration: 6 months
- Worksite Location: Rigby, ID
- Compensation: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
What you’ll do as a Sr. Logistics Specialist: - Manage and execute inbound, outbound, and transfer freight operations across multiple transportation modes, including small parcel, LTL, truckload, air, and ocean freight
- Serve as the key liaison between carriers, distribution centers, production teams, customer service, and finance to ensure logistics processes meet business needs
- Analyze logistics performance, import data, transit times, and freight costs to identify insights, optimize expenses, and recommend operational improvements
- Partner with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable logistics strategies while ensuring compliance with relevant transportation rules and regulations
- Support 3PL distribution center operations to ensure on-time and accurate product flow
- Load and monitor tracking information and shipping data within ERP systems
- Create and maintain SOPs for logistics processes and vendor management
- Act as a point of escalation for freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation vendors
- Participate in carrier evaluation and performance review
- Collaborate on cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives and logistics-related projects
What you’ll bring to the Sr. Logistics Specialist role: - Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics, Business, or Data Analytics, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP
- Proven skills in data management including entry, export, cleansing, and analysis
- Strong communication skills with experience interfacing across departments and with external partners
- Experience in driving cost savings, improving operational efficiency, and solving complex logistics challenges
- Curiosity and analytical mindset to explore innovative transportation strategies
- Familiarity with global trade compliance and INCOTERMS strongly preferred
- Demonstrated accountability, collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement
