Job Description

Join a dynamic Nonprofit Organization in Brooklyn as a temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist and become an integral part of their Human Resources Department. This Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of HR processes and contributing to the overall well-being of our employees. You will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, with a strong emphasis on recruiting. The position is based 4 days per week in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, with 1 day remote weekly. The position starts on a Temporary basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand departmental needs, define job specifications, and align recruitment strategies with organizational goals.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment across diverse roles, including job posting, candidate sourcing, resume screening, interview coordination, and offer negotiation.
  • Leverage multiple sourcing platforms and social media to attract top talent, while maintaining a robust pipeline of active and passive candidates for current and future openings.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to design and implement innovative talent acquisition strategies, while staying informed on industry trends, employment law, and best practices.
  • Maintain detailed candidate records and managed staffing logistics , including compensation inquiries, onboarding support, and compliance with hiring policies.

Requirements :

  • Experience & Skills : Minimum of 5 years in recruitment or HR with strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency : Advanced knowledge of productivity tools, database systems, internet research, and HR-specific software.
  • Recruitment Expertise : Proven ability to conduct interviews across various formats (phone, video, email, in-person).
  • Preferred Qualifications : HR Generalist experience and certifications like PHR or SHRM-CP are advantageous.

Compensation: $33/Hour

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications .
