Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Marvin Group is a world leader in manufacturing for the aerospace and defense world industry, consisting of five different businesses each of which manufactures/designs a unique catalog of military and dual use products. The Trade Compliance Specialist will work within a team and be responsible for supporting the oversight of the import and export compliance function for all Marvin Group facilities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • International Logistics Compliance – AES/EEI Filing.
  • Preparing shipping documents for imports and exports
  • Support license preparation and administration (ITAR and EAR)
  • Support the Importing Process
  • Performing denied party screenings
  • Tracking compliance metrics
  • Maintaining all documents related to import/export transactions and U.S. Customs clearance including but not limited to:
  • Commercial Invoices, Export Packing Lists, AES Filings, Shipper's Letters of Instruction, Certificates of Compliance and/or Conformity, Air and Ocean Bills of Lading, Shipper's Export Declarations, Denied Party Screening verifications

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Due to ITAR regulations must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent years of work experience: 3-5 years of experience with export/import administration and/or Freight Forwarding
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of AES, ITAR, EAR, U.S. Customs regulations, and Incoterms 2020
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
  • Attentive to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Willingness to learn
  • Able to follow instructions with minimal supervision within specified time frames
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must read/write/speak English

  • Medium-to-large office environment
  • Fast paced office environment
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments
