Property/Training Manager Opportunity

Job Summary:

West Coast Self-Storage has a rare opportunity. We are looking for a full-time Property/Training Manager. You will manage day-to-day store operations and achieve store performance objectives at an individual location. In addition, the Training Manager role will support a team of stores which will include new hire training, creating, and managing the work schedules, assisting in team sales skill development, and interviewing as part of the recruitment process. Day to Day:

Property Manager:

  • Provide exceptional customer service including assessing customers’ storage needs (in person, phone and web inquiries)
  • Creating store plans to hit budget monthly and annually
  • Web pricing and discount management
  • Ensure property is maintained to West Coast’s Clean & Operational standards, e.g., cleaning vacated units, sweeping, mopping, and changing light bulbs
  • Manage Vendors and Cap Ex projects
  • Drive auction process
  • Show available units and guide customers through the leasing process
  • Manage, audit and balance cash drawer and petty cash

Training:

  • 15 Day Packet: Train new hires in correlation with packet, upon completion send to HR for their personnel file
  • LMS: All new hire compliance training completed within the 15-day requirement
  • Phone Shops: Listen and score calls monthly for team members
  • Phone Shops: Provide feedback to team members within the same month as phone shop occurred
  • Phone Shops: Track team member grades in tracker by end of month
  • MESH Learning: Utilize and follow through with MESH Learning Program

Recruiting:

  • Working with the recruiting team to set up interviews
  • Interviews: May be asked to conduct 2nd interviews with candidates and provide feedback to District Manager

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required)
  • Retail Sales, Cash Management, and Customer Service experience
  • Ability to self-manage while working independently to achieve team and company objectives
  • Ability to work weekends and some holidays (required)
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge MS Office products
